Finally, Realme launched another new smartphone in the Indian market.  And this phone has been launched from the Realme Narzo series under the name Realme Narzo 50. The specification of the Realme narzo 50 phones is MediaTek helio G96 chipset, 120 Hz ultra-smooth screen refresh rate, 50-megapixel triple rear camera sensor and more.

Today we will show you the other good and bad aspects of this phone with great interest.  And we hope you will know the launch date of the phone, the price, or the correct answer to your questions.  So let's start today's article without delay.

Realme Narzo 50 overview:

Realme suddenly skipped the Narzo 40 series and directly launched the Narzo 50 series this year.  Last year we saw the splendour of Narzo 30 and Narzo 30 pro doing a good job in the mid-segment. This year, Realme has tried to enrich the phone by adding several features (we will discuss below) like for the first time, they have added an 11 GB dynamic ram expansion feature, 33W dart charging and a 120Hz ultra-smooth display.

Above all, for the price tag of Rs. 12,999 in India is this phone still value for money or worth purchasing? We will also discuss it later in this article.

How many smartphones are in the Narzo 50 line-up?

So far there are three smartphones in the Realme narzo series namely

  • Realme Narzo 50
  • Realme Narzo 50a
  • and Realme Narzo 50i.
However, the concern is that the Narzo 50i was launched in September last year, which was a good response in the entry-level segment at a very low price.  Realme Narzo 50, on the other hand, is a bit more feature-rich than Realme Narzo 50a, which makes Realme Narzo 50 worth thousands more than Narzo 50a.
I think it is better to purchase a realme Narzo 50 with more than a thousand rupees as it has a 120hz display refresh rate with a Ram expense feature which is not available in Realme narzo 50a.  Realme Narzo 50a has a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, 18W fast charging, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Realme Narzo 50 price in India:

Realme Narzo 50 is the successor of last year's Realme Narzo 30 smartphone. Narzo series is always considered within the entry-level to mid-range segment. Above all, the Realme Narzo 50 price in India is Rs. 12,999 for the base variant of 4GB ram and 64GB storage. There is another variant with 6GB ram and 128GB storage pricing starting from Rs. 15,499.

Realme Narzo 50 performance:

The MediaTek Helio g96 chipset has been used in the Realme Narzo 50 smartphone.  And Realme claims that this processor is a gaming processor and performance boosted.  We will constantly try to present its technical specifications to you.  The MediaTek helio G96 chipset is made up of Octa-core with a 64-bit  Arm Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A76 dual CPU.  The maximum clock speed of these CPUs is 2.05 GHz.  On the other hand, Realme used Mali-G56 MC2 as the GPU of the smartphone.

The MediaTek Helio G96 was originally designed for a 120Hz Full HD+ display. Unfortunately, this chipset does not support 5G connectivity which is why Realme Narzo 50 lacks a 5G connection.  This chipset supports all the other features like lpddr4x memory and will easily run all kinds of high graphics games.

After all the phone is running on out of the box Android 11 with realme UI 2.0. Recently Realme announced Realme UI 2.0 which sorts of features like icon customisation, Global theme colour and AOD (always on display) choices.

On the other hand, Realme's current market competitor Xiaomi has launched a couple of phones with exact similar specifications, including the Redmi Note 11 smartphone.  The Redmi Note 11 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset.  In my opinion, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset will be comparatively ahead of the MediaTek helio G96 as it uses the octa-core 2.4 GHz CPU with 6 nm technology.

The realme Narzo 50 smartphone is available in two different configurations. The base variant is 4GB Ram and 64GB storage and the max variant is 6GB ram and 128GB storage. But if you want to purchase the Max variant, you have to pay 3000 extra rupees.

Realme Narzo 50 display and design:

As We have mentioned earlier, this MediaTek Helio G96 chipset supports Full HD+ resolution.  And the Realme Narzo 50 uses exactly an LCD IPS display panel with full HD+ resolution (1024×2400 pixels).  However, the interesting thing here is that this display has 6 levels of refresh rate which are 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz  and the lastly 120Hz.

However, this did not seem to work for me, since if someone wants to increase the refresh rate of his phone, he will increase it at the maximum, or if he wants to reduce it, he will reduce it to the minimum.  The display supports 401 PPI density.

Now let's talk about the design of Realme Narzo 50.  Along with the display, the Realme Narzo 50 smartphone looks just like the other Realme smartphones. The dimensions of the phone are 7.5 mm and the weight is 194 grams.  However, I really liked the back part texture on Realme Narzo 50 smartphone. Realme also claimed this as Kevlar Speed Texture design, a concept originally inspired by racing cars.  This will make the phone feel smooth to hold and also look beautiful.

For now, the phone will be available in two different colour options, one is speed blue and another one is speed black.  At the top of the phone, there is a huge camera port with settled a triple camera sensor. There is a dot type display camera on the left side of the front panel.

Realme Narzo 50 isn't built for Camera:

The Realme Narzo 50 has a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the back with an  f/1.8 aperture. On the other hand, the phone has a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP black&white filter lens.

In terms of my opinion, these two sensors are totally useless most of the time. In the midrange segment, most of the phones provide ultra-wide lenses, while there isn't an ultra-wide lens in Realme Narzo 50 smartphone and that's made me feel a little bit disappointed.  The front camera of the Smartphone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/ 2.05. The rest of the other features including
1080p / 30fps, slow motion or time-lapse video capturing feature.

Realme Narzo 50 battery capacity and charging:

Realme has given a 5000mAh non-removable Li-ion battery on the realme Narzo 50 smartphone. As also adopts a very good feature in this phone which is the 33W dart charging feature. And this fast charging feature will put Realme a little ahead of its competitors. On the other hand, the phone has supported USB Type-C port, micro SD card slot with ( up to 1 TB storage)
