One of the things that differentiate Twitter from any other social media is its character limit. You’re not allowed to tweet something longer than 280 characters.

But it won't be the same under Musk's ownership. A Twitter user expressed his opinion about increasing the character limit, which was retweeted by its recent owner, Elon Musk.
He replied, "It’s on the to-do list." Simply put, it’s indicating that Elon Musk is also interested in expanding the Twitter character limit to 1000 so that everyone can express their opinion without having to tweet several times.
Though this microblogging platform had a change in the character limit back in 2017, which proposed to increase the character limit from 140 characters to 280 characters,
Until now, the character limit of a tweet has remained the same.

Although Elon Musk previously introduced Twitter Blue, a monthly subscription service that adds a blue checkmark to its users' accounts and gives early access to its features,
One thing I really like about the new Twitter is its edit tweet feature. It’s yet to launch, but Twitter Blue users in some regions might get it now.
Elon has proposed significant changes for Twitter and will soon release a few of them. This includes the new verification system, Twitter Blue, editing tweets, and end-to-end encryption.
